The project entails the milling and resurfacing Harrison Avenue, Third Street, Searing Avenue and So. 2nd Street. The work shall also include the replacement of handicap curb ramps, curb, deteriorated sidewalk, minor base repair at select locations and catch basin reconstruction within the project limits. Bid Security is required in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid, but not in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00) Certificate from a Surety Company is required indicating consent to be bound as surety and guarantor for performance required under the Contract Documents. Bids must be submitted on the Bid Form contained in the Contract Documents and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the outside with the name of project and the name and address of the Bidder. The Bid must be delivered to the Owner prior to Bid opening at the above address for submitting Bids. Bidders are required to comply with the provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, effective January 1, 1964, and with the requirements of P.L. 1975, C. 17(N.J.A.C. 17:27), Affirmative Action Program, and N.J.S.A. 10:2-1 et seq. All Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. Bidder shall provide its New Jersey Business Registration Certificate and Contractor's Public Works Registration with its bid. The Town of Harrison reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, or to waive any Bid defect where such defect is not detrimental to the best interest of the Town of Harrison and fairness of the bidding process.
