The Crittenden County Schools will receive lump sum sealed bids on one general contract for miscellaneous remodeling of the existing high school/middle school building : 1. Crittenden County Middle School, 519 W. Gum Street, Marion, KY 42064. 2. Crittenden County High School, 519-1/2 W. Gum Street, Marion, KY 42064. Miscellaneous remodeling to include elevator installation, science rooms remodeling, toilet rooms remodeling, and alternate bids to include corridor flooring, gym HVAC, single user toilet installation, and HVAC controls. The Work includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition, earthwork, termite control, cast-in-place concrete, unit masonry assemblies, steel deck, metal fabrications, miscellaneous carpentry, interior architectural woodwork, spray polyurethan foam insulation and air barrier system, open cell spray foam insulation, modified bituminous membrane roofing-cold applied, sheet metal flashing and trim, firestopping, joint sealants, standard steel doors and frames, door hardware, mirrors, acoustical panel ceilings, resilient tile floor, resilient wall base and accessories, epoxy flooring, painting, high-performance coatings, visual display boards, signs, toilet and bath accessories, laboratory fume hoods, wood laboratory casework, floor mats, hydraulic elevators, fire suppression, plumbing, HVAC, electrical (power, communication, and lighting) systems, electronic safety and security, and complete clean-up and removal of construction debris. Bid Guaranty in the form of a Bid Bond (Proposal bonds with Contractor acting as surety are not acceptable), Certified Check, or cash shall accompany each bid. The amount of the bid Guaranty shall be not less than five percent (5%) of the Bid set forth in the Proposal Form. All bid Guaranties shall be made payable to the Crittenden County Schools. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a performance and payment bond and a material and payment bond in an amount equal to at least One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract price. The premium for the bonds shall be included in the proposal amount(s). The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in bids received where such acceptance, rejection or waiver is considered to be in the best interest of the Owner and to reject any bid where evidence of information submitted by the bidder does not satisfy the Owner that the Bidder is qualified to carry out the details of the Contract Documents.
