Performance Bond Required No Generally, the WORK is construction of a new solid waste transfer station facility and expansion of the mulching pad at the existing Brevard County Mockingbird Way Mulching Facility site, at 3600 South Street, Titusville, Florida 32796. The project includes demolition, clearing and grubbing of an undeveloped portion of the property, earthwork including excavation and filling, water and wastewater utilities, sewage lift station, stormwater management facilities, scale house, inbound and outbound scales, transfer station with raised tipping floor and transfer tunnel, transfer tunnel pit scales, odor control system, plumbing, HVAC, office/break room building, roadways, sidewalks, traffic striping, power distribution, backup generator, site lighting, communications infrastructure, signage, fencing, landscaping, and related improvements.. SCOPE OF WORK A. The Work to be done consists of the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment and the performance of all Work included in this Contract. The summary of the Work is presented in Section 01100, Summary of Work. B. Work under this Contract includes but is not limited to the following items. Refer to all other Contract Documents for additional project requirements. 1. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, superintendence, materials, plant power, light, heat, fuel, water, tools, appliances, equipment, supplies, and means of construction necessary for proper performance and completion of the Work. The Contractor shall obtain and pay for all necessary local building permits and a City of Titusville utility site work permit. The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work in the manner best calculated to promote rapid construction consistent with safety of life and property and to the satisfaction of the Owner and in strict accordance with the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall clean up the Work and maintain it during and after construction, until accepted, and shall do all Work and pay all costs incidental thereto. He shall repair or restore all structures and property that may be damaged or disturbed during performance of the Work. 2. The cost of incidental work described in these Project Requirements for which there are no specific Contract Items shall be considered as part of the general cost of doing the Work and shall be included in the prices for the various Contract Items. No additional payment will be made therefor. 3. The Contractor shall provide and maintain such modern plant, tools, and equipment as may be necessary, in the opinion of the Owner, to perform in a satisfactory and acceptable manner all the Work required by this Contract. Only equipment of established reputation and proven efficiency shall be used. The Contractor shall be solely responsible for the adequacy 08705-055-02 PROJECT REQUIREMENTS July 2021 01000-2 of his workmanship, materials, and equipment, prior approval of the Owner notwithstanding.
