This project will include a bridge replacement to the north bound and south bound bridges carrying I-81 over Russell Road, in the Town of Virgil, Cortland County. This Project is Located in the Capital District Region and Includes the Following: Counties Cortland As of January 19, 2022, The current status of the project is In Development. The Bid Opening is expected to be in Spring 2024. Construction is expected to begin in Summer 2024. Construction is expected to be completed in Fall 2022. NYSDOT - I-81 Bridges Over Russell Rd Cortland Co *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP). A STIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the STIP often evolves based on funding availability.
