Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Marathon, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a 6,600-square-foot municipal facility; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The Marathon Area Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Inc. (MAVAC) is requesting qualified contractors to submit bids for a proposed ambulance station to be constructed at 15 Broome Street, Marathon, NY. B. Multi-Prime Contract: General Construction. C. Each Prime Contractor is required to "self-perform" 35% of the labor of their Work as measured by cost and compensation directly and only to the Prime Contractor. The bidders should not include in their bid Sales and Compensating Use Taxes on the cost of the materials which are to be incorporated in the Project and which are to be separately sold by the Bidder to MAVAC prior to incorporation into the Project D. Prevailing Wage Rates will apply to this Project. Use the higher rate as issued by the NYS Dept, of Labor or the latest federal rates per the Davis-Beacon Act. E. Bids are to be submitted in accordance with AIA Document A-701, "Instructions to Bidders" F. Submission of bids electronically is not allowed. 1.2 BID SECURITY A. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. A Pre-Bid Meeting is NOT scheduled for this project. 1.4 PROJECT INFORMATION (Includes, but not limited to) A. Project Name: Marathon Area Volunteer Ambulance Corps Ambulance Station B. 6,600sf PreEngineered Metal Building founded on concrete footings C. MAVAC has purchased the building from Essex Structural Steel, Cortland, NY D. General Contractor responsible for receiving and storing the building system and components, and for erection. E. Less than one (acre) of site disturbance F. 3-Bays for apparatus G. Offices, Training/Conference Room, Bathrooms, Locker Rooms, Overnight Living Space H. Storage Spaces, Mezzanine, Mechanical Room I. Paved entrance and apron. 1.6 TIME OF COMPLETION A. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed, anticipated in June 2025, with substantial completion by April 30, 2026. 1.7 BIDDER'S QUALIFICATIONS A. Bidders must be financially solvent and properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. Contractors may be requested to submit three years of financial records to prove solvency. All questions or requests for clarification concerning the bid documents are to be submitted in writing to the Construction Manager via email to: jstafford@tsg-cs.com, no later than the end of business on May 14, 2025, and responses will be issued by Addenda to the documents if needed. Questions or requests received after May 14, 2025, will not be acknowledged. The value includes the mechanical, plumbing, electric and general trades package.
