Renovation of a water / sewer project in Reno, Nevada. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

Solicitation no- 0500-09-1, W7Y37900 Said Proposal shall include all labor, tools, implements, machinery, materials, and any incidentals necessary to complete the work in the manner and time prescribed, and in strict conformity with the Contract Documents to the satisfaction of the City Engineer. In general, the major work items include: Construction of pump station building including electrical room, main pump room, crane drop area (roughly 2,112 square feet), air-over-water surge tank system, air relief valves, and magnetic flow meter. Replacement of existing 4160V reduced-voltage soft starters (RVSS) with new 4160V RVSS units, replacement of 480V variable frequency drives, one duty and one standby, replacement of existing control panel and installation of underground and overhead conduits and associated conductors or fiber optic. Construction will include building HVAC, electrical equipment, wiring, lights, motor controllers, and relocation of existing panelboard. The Work will include selective demolition of existing infrastructure, relocation and reconnection of utility lines including storm and process drains, recycled water/treated effluent, water, and electrical. The Work will include the construction of approximately 100 feet of 18-inch and 105 feet of 30 inch pipe from the new surge tank to an existing connection on the 30-inch pipe used by TMWRF for all recycled water delivery. All disturbed features from the new construction including, but not limited to curb, sidewalk, and paving will be restored or reconstructed as part of the Work. The Bidders attention is directed to Nevada Revised Statutes 338.01165, enacted by the Nevada Legislature by passage of Senate Bill No. 207, setting forth the requirements for the use of apprentices on public works which requires a contractor or subcontractor to comply with certain requirements relating to the use of apprentices on public works. Prospective Bidders must have a representative attend the Pre-bid Meeting to be eligible to bid the Project. Replacement of existing controls for four 4,160V pumps and one 480V pump with new controls. 8. Electrical cabinets, wiring, lights, motor starters and controls integrated into the TMWRF DCS system with fiber optic. 9. Selective demolition of existing infrastructure, relocation and reconnection of utility lines including fiber optic, storm and process drains, recycled water/treated effluent, water, and electrical. 10. Approximately 70 feet of 18-inch and 120 feet of 30-inch pipe from the new surge tank to an existing connection on the 30-inch pipe used by TMWRF for all recycled water delivery. 11.
