Renovation of an educational facility in Williamsville, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
NYS Vendor Responsibility Form CCA-2 A/B/C, NYSDOL wage rates, MBE/WBE/SDVOB, Apprenticeship program, and Local and Disadvantaged Workforce requirements may apply to this project. he general constructionwork includes a combination of abatement, architectural and interior scope. The abatement scope includes but is not limited to: o Removal and disposal of existing mudded fittings and pipe insulation and associated debris on the floor within the project limits in the crawl space. o Classroom removal and disposal of existing asbestos-containing floor tile and associated asbestos-containing mastic as well as a resilient layer above it and the wall base in those Classrooms. o Detachment of existing Unit Ventilators in Classrooms. o Removal and disposal of existing lockers, benches and wood paneling and associated back-up in the Corridors. o Removal and disposal existing ash urns and wall tile removals at theCorridors. o Removal and disposal of existing doors with asbestos-containing glazing compound at Corridors. o Detachment of existing water fountains in the Corridors. o Removal and disposal of existing damaged wall tile and asbestos-containing mastic in the Corridors and Stair Halls. o Anchorage through existing wall tile and asbestos-containing mastic in the Corridors and Stair Halls. o Removal of asbestos-containing roofing tar at mechanicalwork. o Refer to specification 02 8213 Asbestos Abatement, Part 1 - General, 1.3 Scope Of Work. The architectural scope includes but is not limited to: o New metal studs and gypsum board at the Classrooms. o New metal studs and gypsum board at nooks inCorridors. o C.M.U. infill at ash urn removals. o C.M.U. infill at clock and speaker removals. o Removal, disposal and replacement of existing doors and hardware. o Blockingwalls for accessories. o Removal of existing overhead fire doors above corridor ceilings. o New steel at rooftop exhaust locations. o Roofing patchwork and coordination with the HVAC contractor at rooftop exhaust locations. The interior scope includes but is not limited to: o New resilient flooring and new wall base in the Classrooms including flooring preparation. o New thresholds at floor material changes. o Removal of existing carpet in the Corridors and lobbies. o Refinishing of exiting terrazzo floors in the Corridors. o New carpet tile in the Lobbies and Stair Halls. o Removal, disposal and replacement of acoustical ceilings in the Classrooms, Corridors and Lobby. o Removal and disposal of acoustical ceiling in the Lobby and replacement with a wood veneered beam system. o Painting of gypsum board walls and soffits, C.M.U. and wall tile. o New nooks at the Corridors including countertops, benches and wall covering. o Replacement of existingwall tile. o New Phenolic lockers in the Corridors. o New tackboards. B. Mechanical/Plumbing Construction Work, including but not limited to: The mechanical scope includes but is not limited to: o Removal and disposal of existing unit ventilators, associated piping, controls (pneumatic), pipe enclosures, louvers and accessories. o Removal and disposal of existing roof mounted exhaust fan and curb. o Disconnection of existing electronic controllers for turnover to building owner o New unit ventilators, piping, electronic controls, BMS integration, pipe enclosure and fin tube radiation. o New exhaust fans, curbs, wind restraint, automatic dampers, electronic controls, BMS integration. o Newducted &passive relief systems and associated fire dampers and new wall penetrations. The plumbing scope includes but is not limited to: o Removal and disposal of existing domestic hot and cold water, and sanitary piping, hangers and supports. o Removal and disposal of existing gas and compressed air piping, hangers and supports. o Capping of domestic hot and cold water, sanitary, gas, and compressed air piping atmains. o Removal and disposal of electric water cooler, hanger plate, and trap. o New wallmounted electricwater coolerswith bottle filler station, reconnection to existing piping. C. Electrical Construction Work, including but not limited to: The electrical scope includes but is not limited to: o Removal and disposal of power, lighting, data, and fire alarm devices and circuits back to their source panels. o Disconnection of mechanical equipment for removal by others. o Newpower and lighting circuits in the classrooms and corridors from existing panelboards. o Newpower circuits tomechanical equipment serving the classrooms and corridors. o New LED lighting fixtures in the classrooms and corridors with occupancy sensing controls. o Newdata drops to classrooms and corridors for network connected equipment. (WAPs, cameras, computers, etc.) o Extend the existing fire alarm system to provide newdetection and notification devices in classrooms and the corridor. o Provide pathways and cabling for card access points back to source. Phase 1 scope includes various classroom upgrades at the north and south wing of Kittinger Hall which includes the replacement of original unit ventilators, abatement, interior finishes, doors and door hardware and lighting. Corridor upgrades include abatement, new interior finishes, HVAC and lighting upgrades, and other miscellaneous work along the north and south wings.
