It is the intent of the Owner to enter into separate contracts as follows: Contract No. 1 General Construction. Contract No. 2 HVAC Construction. Contract No. 3 Electrical Construction. Contract No. 4 Asbestos Removal. The work to be performed under these Specifications and the accompanying Drawings comprises the furnishing of the labor, materials, tools, and other services and facilities necessary for the complete installation of, but not necessarily limited to the following: 1. Demolition of existing HVAC equipment, ductwork, all steam supply and return piping as indicated on the drawings. The existing hot water piping to remain unless noted on the drawings. 2. Demolition of the existing pneumatic control system. 3. Before installation of any ductwork, contractor shall verify locations of existing electrical junction boxes located above the ceiling and revise duct routing to maintain required access to the existing junction boxes. 4. Convert the existing steam boilers to hot water. 5. Provide and install new Air Cooled Chillers with piping and all accessories 6. Provide and install Modular Air Handling Units as indicated on the drawings. The Air Handling Units must be able to be broken down to be able to fit thru a 36" door. 7. Provide and install terminal heating equipment as indicated on the drawings. 8. Provide and install Variable Volume Boxes with hot water coils as indicated on the drawings 9. Supply and Exhaust Fans, Miscellaneous Ventilating Systems 10. Piping - Hot Water, Refrigerant, Condensate Drain 11. Piping Specialties, Valves, Hangers and Supports 12. Ductwork - Low and Medium Velocity 13. Ductwork Accessories - Dampers, Grilles, Registers, Diffusers, Supports, Access Doors, and Turning Vanes 14. Insulation - Piping, Equipment, Ductwork
