Renovation of a mixed-use development in Greater Sudbury, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.

Creighton Mine is an underground nickel mine which is currently owned and operated by in Lively, ON. The mine is currently the deepest nickel mine in Canada and is home to SNOLAB. SNOLAB is a Canadian underground science laboratory specializing in neutrino and dark matter physics. The original surface building was constructed in the mid-1980s and consisted of a single story warehouse building less than 4000 square feet. This section of the building is referred to as the Blue Building. An addition was added in 2003 which transformed the surface building into a three story, 18,625 square foot office space with laboratory, conferences rooms and an auditorium. The building will be occupied during the renovation. A phased approach will need to be developed by the successful contractor with the assistance of the SNOLAB project coordinator in order to minimize any interruptions. Certain areas may need to be sectioned off for safety. The project consists of Renovating various locations throughout the first, second and third floors at the SNOLAB building located at Creighton mine. Work shall be completed in accordance to the drawings and specifications and work will consist of multiple disciplines such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, architectural, structural, IT etc. Work shall be completed in phases to minimize the impact on SNOLAB operations. Part of the scope also includes constructing an outdoor roof structure above the existing concrete pad located next to the shipping and receiving area. An area on the first floor will be expanded and renovated to allow additional workstations. Refer to drawings and specifications for the full extent of work.
