Renovation of an elderly care / assisted living facility in Calgary, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a elderly care / assisted living facility.
Contractor shall remove and dispose of existing fire alarm system including but not limited to existing smoke detectors, heat detectors, duct smoke detectors, manual pull stations, bells, etc. in Wah Ying Mansion. Remove redundant and unused wiring and conduits back to source where possible. Existing 110V smoke alarm in resident suites to remain as is and not to replace. Contractor shall supply and install a new, complete and fully operational addressable fire alarm system in Wah Ying Mansion in accordance with the 2016 Alberta Building Code, current Alberta Fire Code, Fire Code Standata FCI-08-6 regulations, CAN/ULC-S524-13 'Standard for the Installation of Fire Alarm System' and Electrical Drawings issued by Morrison Hershfield. The new fire panel shall have the capability of dual hardwired and addressable functions. A copy of the 2021 annual fire alarm system test an inspection report is attached for reference.
