Site work for a road / highway in National City, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

The Work shall include, but not limited to the following: 1. Furnish all labor, materials, power, equipment, tools, transportation, and supervision necessary to construct (complete in place) proprietary Port District provided equipment and required interconnection supporting cold ironing facilities to cruise ships as indicated on the project plans and technical specifications 2. The Proprietary equipment that will be provided by the Port District and installed by the contractor will consist of: a. 12 KV Primary transition cabinet, a 16/20 MVA 12.47 KV - 11x6.6 KV oil filled substation transformer and secondary distribution equipment. b. 1- 2 stage power factor correction capacitor bank. 3. The Equipment supplier will deliver the Port District provided equipment to the B Street Pier shore power substation location where the contractor will unload equipment on to the Phase 2 equipment pad located inside the existing shore power substation. The contractor will be provided 7 days' notice in advance for the delivery of the equipment. Contractor will provide all the required labor and equipment to move and set the Port District provided equipment to its final set point. 4. Port District will also supply 1- medium voltage 15KV Vacuum breaker for installation (by contractor) into existing Primary breaker cubicle located in existing phase 1 equipment. Related protection relay and breaker accessories will also be provided. New CT's will be provided for installation (by contractor) in existing primary breaker cubicle. 5. Work at B Street Pier: a. Contractor will remove existing Medium voltage and control conductors from existing conduits between phase 1 switchgear and Manhole EMH-A (8'x10'x7') and control manhole CHH-A (4'x4'x4') as shown on construction drawings. All conductors will be reused and reinstalled in existing empty conduits from EMH-A and CHH-A to new shore power equipment provided under Phase 2 contract. See conduit schedule 6. Contractor will procure and install short runs of MV and Control conductors (Approx. 100' MV and 3,000', control conductors) between existing primary and breaker section and new Phase 2 equipment transition section as well as between Capacitor breaker and 2 stage power factor correction capacitors. Interconnect Raceways are existing. See conduit and conductor schedule. 7. Contractor shall include the following provisions for support and connection of Port provided equipment and testing: a) Support automation engineer and equipment supplier to terminate control cables reference on conduit and cable schedule, assume 80-Man-hours, b) Provide stand by for possible wiring changes and troubleshooting during final system tests., assume 40 Man-hours, c). Miscellaneous control wire changes and automation component relocation from one switchgear cubicle to another and mounting of automation equipment in existing and new switchgear as directed by equipment supplier, assume 80 Man-hours 8. Contractor shall prepare, implement, and maintain site specific health and safety plan. 9. Contractor Coordination with others: Contractor shall cooperate with all other forces, including tenants. Coordination that the contractor must perform with Port tenants include, but not limited to ACE Parking Management Co. Other contractors working on the B Street Pier include, but are not limited to, the Curtain wall contractor and terminal building furniture. Curtain Wall construction is expected to start construction mid-year 2022. 10. It is intended that the Work be completed in every respect under the Contract Document, and such items or details not mentioned above or not included in the Bid Schedule that are required by the Contract Documents shall be furnished, performed, placed, constructed, or installed by the Co Contractor shall have at least 4 years verifiable experience in installing medium voltage Switchgears and Cables systems.
