The City of Claremont has approximately 70 bus stops citywide. Bus services are provided by Foothill Transit. The City is responsible for any amenities at each bus stop. There are very few bus stops in the City with shelters. Recently, City Council approved three bus shelter standards and a priority list of approximately thirty locations for installation. The three standards vary in size and color depending on each location. The City is in search of fabrication services to fabricate the bus shelters to be installed at the approved locations. Installation of the bus shelters will be handled through a separate contractor. However, the successful fabricator will be responsible for coordintating the footing, anchoring, and delivery for each location with the site work and installation delivery contractor. The purpose of this Bus Shelter Fabrication Project is to fabricate bus shelters to be installed in various locations citywide. The City reserves the right to reject all proposals and to contract for services in the manner that most benefits the City including awarding more than one contract if desired.
