The work consists of the construction of the Monks Well Building including controls, chlorination building, well building, plumbing, electrical, site development, power supply conduits, connection to the Town's existing 12" water transmission main, modification of the existing well head and sanitary seal, installation of a pitless adapter, discharge piping, sounding tubes, and new well pump. Bids received after the deadline will be returned unopened. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond for ten percent of the amount of the bid included in the bid proposal as a guarantee that the contractor will enter into a contract to perform the proposal in accordance with plans and specifications. The Town of Prescott Valley reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bid proposals, or any part thereof, to withhold the award, and waive any informality deemed in the best interest of the Town. The Monks Well Building & Controls project site is located within the Town of Prescott Valley, east of SR89A, north of Fain Road and south of the Fairgrounds. The location is shown below: The site is located on APN #800-12-026Y in Section 31; Township 15 N., Range 01 E. Access to the Monks Well Site is from the Fair Grounds and unimproved roads. The work involves, in general, a base bid to furnish all necessary materials, equipment, labor, incidentals, etc. required to equip the well, provide a well controls/plumbing building with a concrete slab, chlorination room, installation of water lines and plumbing, water valves, ABC access drive, decorative rock site surfacing, site fencing, electrical and SCADA controls and other related appurtenances to develop the Monks Well Building site. The well has been drilled and cased and the existing well information is included in the Special Provisions and on the Construction Plans. The work will also include the removal of the existing temporary well pump and motor and pitless adapter.
