Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Varennes, Quebec. Working plans call for the construction of a 15,695-square-foot, two-story above grade fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
Construction of the new fire station 29 in the City. The new two-storey building will bring together garages, cleaning spaces and equipment storage on the ground floor while living areas and administrative spaces including dormitories, changing rooms, a fitness room, a training room and offices will be located on the second floor. TIMELINE: Working drawings are being finalized. Demolition and deconstruction of the structure existing on the site was completed. The project implementation was delayed due to legal issues between the City and professional consultants because of changes in the scope of work that entailed an increase of costs. Timelines of further project development are not finalized. Further update in early 2026.
