The project (hereby referred to as Project) is officially known as the Village of Newburg 2022 Sealcoating and Crack Sealing Project. The project is described as sealcoating and crack sealing the streets as depicted by the Project Plan and as described below. Sealcoat Roadways (Total Length: 1.25 miles) Ann Street Division Street Franklin Street Monroe Street Salisbury Street Congress Drive Crack Seal Roadways (Total Length: 0.97 miles) Connie Drive Diane Drive Enge Drive Direct inquiries to the Village Engineer, Christian Moring Phone: (262) 665-3012 Email: christian.moring@stantec.com The Contract letting shall be subject to the provisions of Sections 62.15, 66.29, 66.293, and 779.15 of the Wisconsin Statutes. The Village reserves the right to reject any and all bids, the right to waive irregularities and informalities in bidding, the right to disregard all non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced or conditional bids, and the right to accept the bid which best serves the interests of the Village. The bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall furnish a Performance Bond for the full amount of the Contract within 10 days of award or execution of the Contract. The Performance Bond shall contain a provision to increase the Performance Bond by the amount of any change orders that might increase the amount of the Contract price. If such bidder fails to execute and file such Contract and Performance Bond, within the 10-day period, the check, bond, or bank draft accompanying the bid shall be forfeited to the Village of Newburg as liquidated damages. The Village reserves the right to postpone the award of the contract and no bids shall be withdrawn for a period not exceeding 60 days after the date and time set forth in the Bid Opening. The Village further reserves the right to retain the bid security of the three (3) lowest bidders during that time. As of January 10, 2022, the project has not yet been awarded.
