Horse Lake First Nation, supported by Indigenous Services Canada, would like to upgrade their existing wastewater infrastructure. The scope of work at the existing lift station includes a complete retrofit of mechanical and electrical systems. The existing fibreglass wet well will remain and be re-used, but the retrofit scope includes new: pumps, piping, valves, pump guide rails and other lifting accessories, modifications to the existing access road and grading, an extension of fencing, and new power and control systems including a utility upgrade to 600V. In addition, the scope of work includes adding a new natural gas generator, a concrete pad for the new generator, and a new power and control building. The scope of work along the existing forcemain includes repairs and modifications to the existing Combination-Air-Vaccum (CAV) Station. In addition, the scope of work includes adding two (2) new Clean-out and CAV Manholes and one (1) new Clean-out Manhole. Other repair and maintenance work includes: cleaning the inside of the lift station, and flushing and cleaning of the existing forcemain. It is a requirement that the Contractor bypass the existing lift station when installing new mechanical and electrical equipment. The Contractor will be responsible for all temporary work related to lift station bypass (operation, power, controls, pumps, piping/hoses, tie-ins, etc.).
