Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Lockport, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
As of January 4 the project was awarded to Austin-Tyler Construction Inc for $1,879,004.18. Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Lockport for "3rd Street to Hamilton Street Water Main and Road Reconstruction Improvements" and is further described as follows: watermain replacement, removal and replacement of concrete curb and gutter, pavement removal, hot mix asphalt paving, driveway removal and replacement, sidewalk removal and replacement, restoration, and related work. The Bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the gross amount of the bid. Bids may be held by the City of Lockport for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding.
