As of September 11th, 2023 this project is pending an award decision. Well No. 14 project site on the vacant lands east of 17441 South Weber Road, Crest Hill, IL 60403. The City of Crest Hill reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any technicality, and to accept any Bid which it deems advantageous. All Bids shall remain subject to acceptance for 85 days after the time set for receiving Bids. Contract award shall be made based on the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder. The Project includes the following Work: Construction, development, and test pumping of a 450 gpm limestone well drilled to a depth of approximately 450 feet and drawing water from the fractured limestone aquifer. The Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to the OWNER in an amount of 10% of the Bidder's maximum Bid price. Bidders will be required to comply with all laws, including those relating to the employment of labor and the payment of the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in the locality in which the work is to be performed. If at the time this Contract is executed, or if during the term of this Contract, there is excessive unemployment in Illinois as defined in the Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act, 30 ILCS 570, as two consecutive months of unemployment exceeding 5%, CONTRACTOR agrees to employ a work force that consists of at least 90% Illinois laborers. An "Illinois laborer" is defined as any person who has resided in Illinois for at least 30 days and intends to become or remain an Illinois resident.
