Renovation of a mixed-use development in Rialto, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Special ED Department Renovation Architect will issue supplemental instructions authorizing minor changes in the Work, not involving adjustment to the Contract Sum or the Contract Time, on AIA Document G710 or Architect's form.. If latent or changed conditions require modifications to the Contract, Contractor may initiate a claim by submitting a request for a change to Architect. a. Include a statement outlining reasons for the change and the effect of the change on the Work. Provide a complete description of the proposed change. Indicate the effect of the proposed change on the Contract Sum and the Contract Time. b. Include a list of quantities of products required or eliminated and unit costs, with total amount of purchases and credits to be made. If requested, furnish survey data to substantiate quantities. c. Indicate applicable taxes, delivery charges, equipment rental, and amounts of trade discounts. d. Include costs of labor and supervision directly attributable to the change. e. Include an updated Contractor's construction schedule that indicates the effect of the change, including, but not limited to, changes in activity duration, start and finish times, and activity relationship. Use available total float before requesting an extension of the Contract Time. f. Comply with requirements in Section 01 60 00 "Substitution Procedures" if the proposed change requires substitution of one product or system for product or system specified. A. This Specification and the associated drawings govern furnishing, installing, testing and placing into satisfactory operation the Electrical Systems. B. The Contractor shall furnish and install all new materials as indicated on the drawings, and/or in these specifications, and all items required to make his portion of the Electrical Work a finished and working system. C. Description of Systems include but are not limited to the following: 1. Complete Structured Cabling System including, but not limited to: a. Voice and data backbone cabling and terminations. b. Voice and data horizontal cabling and terminations. c. Information outlets (IOs) including faceplates, jacks and labeling. d. Equipment racks, cabinets, cable management and equipment. e. Telecommunication Room equipment including patch panels, optical distribution cabinets, and termination blocks. f. Cabling pathways. g. Grounding and Bonding h. Testing 2. Complete Audio/Visual Systems. 3. Mounting and patching of wireless access points provided by others. 4. Removal/demolition work and/or relocation and reuse of existing systems and equipment. 5. Low Voltage Communications Wiring (less than +120VAC) as specified and required for proper system control and communications. 6. All associated electrical backboxes, conduit, miscellaneous cabling, and power supplies required for proper system installation and operation as defined in the "Suggested Matrix of Scope Responsibility". 7. Firestopping of penetrations as described in Section 27 05 03. 8. Seismic requirements as described in Section 26 05 48 - Seismic Requirements for Equipment and Supports. All construction work that will produce excessive noise levels and interference with normal building operations, as determined by the Owner, shall be scheduled with the Owner. It may be necessary to schedule such work during non-occupied hours. The Owner shall reserve the right to set policy as to when restricted construction hours will be required.
