The City of Phoenix is seeking a qualified contractor to provide construction services for the project listed below. The City is proposing to construct a fiber transportation enhancement along Baseline Road from Loop 202 to Interstate 10 (I-10). The project consists of approximately 11 miles of fiber optic infrastructure and additional intelligent transportation system equipment to support implementation and connect two miles of existing fiber infrastructure to complete a reliable, real-time transportation operations network along the Baseline Road corridor. The City of Phoenix is seeking a qualified contractor to provide construction services for the project listed below. The City is proposing to construct a fiber transportation enhancement along Baseline Road from Loop 202 to Interstate 10 (I-10). The project consists of approximately 11 miles of fiber optic infrastructure and additional intelligent transportation system equipment to support implementation and connect two miles of existing fiber infrastructure to complete a reliable, real-time transportation operations network along the Baseline Road corridor. The scope of work based on the design plans and specifications will include but is not limited to: o Directional drill/trench and install new conduit, fiber and pull box infrastructure along Baseline Road from Loop 202 to 43rd Avenue, 27th Avenue to 41st Street connecting to Fire Station #32, and from 41st Street to I-10. o Install fiber through existing conduit along Baseline Road from 43rd Avenue to 27th Avenue. o Directional drill and install new conduit underneath asphalt, concrete and canals, as needed. o Reconditioning of existing conduit and pull boxes and install new pull boxes, as needed. o Install electrical system (layer 3 network switch), fiber optic equipment, gator patch distribution panels and all miscellaneous work to complete the project. The project will be constructed within existing City of Phoenix, City of Tempe, and Arizona Department of Transportation right-of-way
