CONTRACT DURATION: 120 CALENDAR DAYS Work on the SAVANNAH ROAD WATER & SEWER EXTENSION project consists of mobilization, removal and disposal, erosion and sediment control measures, private property restoration, approximately 980 lineal feet of sanitary sewer installed by open cut, 50 lineal feet of cased PVC sanitary sewer installed by open cut, 87 lineal feet of cased PVC sanitary sewer installed by jack and bore across Savannah Road, 30 lineal feet of cased PVC sanitary sewer installed by jack and bore across the DelDOT Railway (Bicycle Trail) right-of-way, 124 vertical feet of 4-foot diameter precast manhole constructed in place, 14 vertical feet of 5-foot diameter precast manhole constructed in place, furnishing and installing nine (9) manhole frames and covers, six (6) sanitary sewer lateral cleanouts with frames and covers, 280 lineal feet of PVC sanitary sewer lateral, five (5) PVC wye branches, 260 lineal feet of PVC water main installed by open cut, 50 lineal feet of cased PVC water main installed by open cut, 30 lineal feet of cased PVC water main installed by jack and bore across DelDOT Railway (Bicycle Trail) right-of-way, furnishing and installing 40 lineal feet of PE SDR 9 water service laterals, four (4) corporation stops, four (4) curb stops and boxes, four (4) water meter pits and setters, one (1) 3-inch gate valve, 115 cubic yards of DelDOT Type B graded aggregate base course, 1,510 square yards of Superpave Type B asphalt at various thicknesses for trench restoration, 4,290 square yards of 2-inch profile milling, 4,290 square yards of Superpave Type C asphalt, epoxy resin paint traffic striping and markings, thermoplastic traffic markings, and 40 lineal feet of concrete curb and gutter. All quantities are approximate. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond payable to the Owner for ten (10) percent of the total amount of the bid. The right is reserved, as the interests of Lewes Board of Public Works appear, to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities in bids received, and to accept or reject any items of any bid and to extend the time and place for opening the bids from that noted above or not less than five (5) calendar days-notice. The Owner reserves the right to choose a combination of items and item quantities from any, or all, parts of the bid proposal form.
