**As of January 6, 2022, the project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The City of Kenosha, Wisconsin, will receive proposals for the removal and disposal of Asbestos Containing Material and Universal Waste, the razing of the structure(s), and the restoration of the lot(s) described below in accordance with this Request for Proposal with Instructions to Proposers and the enclosed Detailed Description of Work to be Performed, the Environmental Inspection Reports, the General Specifications and Conditions, and the Contract. Two story masonry commercial building constructed in 1955 with approximately 11,914 square feet and a full basement One story masonry commercial constructed in 1950 with approximately 12,690 square feet and no basement The City reserves the right to reject unqualified or nonconforming Proposals, to reject all Proposals and request new Proposals, to accept a Proposal for an individual structure and lot, any combination of structures and lots, or all structures and lots, to accept Proposal(s) if advantageous to the City, or to select the most qualified Proposal. This project is not a public construction contract under Wisconsin law and the City is not required to award the Contract to the lowest responsible Proposer. 1. Due to potential WDNR Erosion Control permitting, the raze cannot start until after February 1, 2022 2. Remove and dispose of all Category I, Category II and RACM materials and Universal Wastes listed in the Pre-Demolition Inspection Reports dated October & November 2021 3. ANY WINDOWS THAT ARE REMOVED DURING THE ABATEMENT MUST BE BOARDED 4. Raze and remove all debris from the structures and parcel, including any footings, basement walls and floors 5. Remove and replace any sidewalks and curbing marked by City 6. For 700 55th Street, remove three (3) parking lot driveway approaches and replace approaches with concrete curb and gutter 7. For 5407 8th Avenue, remove one (1) parking lot driveway approach and replace approach with concrete curb and gutter 8. For 5407 8th Avenue, remove two (2) vacated alley approaches (2nd approach on adjacent City owned parcel #12-223-31-403-008) and replace approaches with concrete curb and gutter 9. For 700 55th Street, remove two asphalt parking areas and any concrete parking bumpers, business sign and pole, concrete ramps and rail 10. For 5407 8th Avenue, remove two asphalt parking areas and any concrete parking bumpers (2nd parking area on east side of building on adjacent City owned parcel #12-223-31-403-008), concrete ramps and rails, and all of vacated concrete alley 11. Remove all bushes (and stump), landscape areas, timbers, stones 12. DO NOT REMOVE WOOD POLES AND GUY WIRES IN VACATED ALLEY 13. Remove and cap at curb the sanitary sewer and water laterals. PLEASE NOTE: The location of the sanitary sewer and water laterals is not always accurate. Bidders should be prepared to "camera" the sanitary sewer laterals to determine exact location 14. Backfill, grade and seed site after razing in accordance with general specifications and Erosion Control Plan 15. Fill material is available from the Kenosha Water Utility and can be transported to the raze site(s) 16. Install and maintain a minimum 6' high cyclone fence surrounding each parcel 17. Obtain necessary Federal, State and local permits
