Renovation of a municipal facility in Seattle, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
RFQ Questions Due - January 19, 2022 at 5:00 PM On Behalf of the Port of Seattle and the Northwest Seaport Alliance invites the submittal of Statement of Qualifications (SOQs) from firms, or teams of firms, interested in providing Design Build services for the Terminal 106 - US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Facility Renovation at the Terminal 106, 7 S. Nevada Street, Seattle, WA 98134. This project would renovate the existing CBP facility at Terminal 106's Warehouse B and incorporate spaces made available by a to be vacated warehouse tenant. The proposed renovated facility would allow consolidated CBP operations from their Terminal 102 facility. The Port's estimated budget for this project is four million six hundred fifty thousand Dollars ($4,650,000.00) excluding sales tax. The Port of Seattle is not responsible for any costs incurred in response to this solicitation. Currently CBP occupies approximately 13,774 SF of office (Office A area), and 5,543 SF of warehouse (Warehouse A area) as well as 31,260 SF of the fenced west yard and 4,720 SF of parking north of the warehouse. Office B and Warehouse B areas of the warehouse and a portion of the west yard are currently leased to other Port tenants. The unfenced yard south of the warehouse is not used for CBP operations. Port conducted a feasibility study and determined by repurposing Office B area of approximately 3,915 SF, the enlarged office space that totals 17,689 SF would be sufficient to support the consolidated CBP operations from the nearby Terminal 102 CBP facility. Existing floor plan and a potential layout of the consolidated CBP office are shown in Drawings B and C, respectively. The scope of work of this project consists of design, permitting, upgrade, construction, commissioning of an expanded CBP facility. The following bullet points provide some guidance on generic task that are required on this project o Facade and awning frame painting o Infill walls or hardened exterior window glazing o Exterior/Interior doors/and hardware o Access controls and security cameras o Pavement repairs and layout/markings; o Interior Lighting/controls, electrical power and data o Exterior lighting/pole lighting o ADA compliant landing and ramps HVAC roof top equipment. o Upgrade vault to a weapons storage vault o Tool storage rooms. o HVAC ventilation, duct work, controls o Plumbing and fixtures o Fire protection o Interior finishes walls, ceiling, floor coverings, o Flooring o Regulated materials abatement. o Upgrade lobby/vestibule, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, training rooms, breakroom and workroom o Furniture for workstation in open areas and lockers
