Renovation of a municipal facility in Huntsville, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade municipal facility.
The Project involves the interior fitup of the Second Floor of an existing 2-story, sprinkled Office Building of Type III-B / III (200) construction. The Scope consists of stud walls, millwork / casework, ceilings, finishes, mechanical, plumbing, fire suppression, and electrical systems. The Work includes minimal selective demolition of stud walls, mechanical and electrical fixtures. The contract will be a fixed unit priced contract. The period of performance for construction is 90 days with an estimated start date of mid-February 2022. Bids will be accepted only from contractors licensed by the State of Alabama and previously qualified by Huntsville Utilities. A cashier's check or a bid bond payable to the City of Huntsville, Alabama, d/b/a/ Huntsville Utilities for an amount not less than 5% of the contractor's bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00, will be required to accompany each contractor's bid. A performance bond, payment bonds and a copy of insurance policy(s) will be required prior to execution of the contract. The contractor's proposal must be submitted on Section B, "Pricing and Proposal Form" to be acceptable. Supplementary information should also be attached on a separate sheet. Your proposal must include all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, transportation and supervision to complete the Scope of Work in a timely and professional manner. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of ninety (90) days. The right to reject any and all bids is reserved.
