Drilling and Development of two Water Wells: Well No. 51 located at Fargo Avenue and BNSF Railroad, and Well No. 52 located at the Hanford Public Works Corporation Yard. More specifically, work includes: Drill a pilot hole to a depth of 1,700 feet and, if conditions are favorable, complete a 1,630-feet deep (estimated) gravel envelope reverse rotary public water supply well at the location as shown per plans. More particularly, the work shall consist of installing and grouting a 34 inch I.D. surface conductor casing in a 40-inch bore hole extending 100 feet below ground surface; drilling an 18-inch diameter pilot hole to a depth of 1,700 feet; conducting zone isolation and water sampling from an estimated seven (7) depth intervals; reaming approximately 600 feet of the hole to 32-inches in diameter and the remainderto 28-inches in diameter; furnishing and installing 600 feet of 20-inch diameter blank well casing; furnishing and installing 1,020 feet of 16-inch diameter (approximately 465 feet of this casing will be perforated) well casing in the bore hole; furnish and install 570 feet of gravel envelope; furnish and install 1,060 feet of gravel feed tube; furnish and install 1,060 feet of annular well seal and developing the well and conducting a television survey. Bid Schedule amounts are for bidding purposes only, and final well design will be determined after the results of the sampling in the pilot hole are evaluated. Each bid must be accompanied by a bidder's security made payable to the City of Hanford for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, such guaranty to be forfeited should the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fail to enter into this contract. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to the Department of Finance and labeled with the name of the project and the statement "Do Not Open Until the Time of Bid Opening". All questions regarding this project shall be in writing and shall be received by the Department of Public Works Division, no later than 2:00 P.M. on the seventh (7th) calendar day before bid opening.
