General Construction : $1,100,000 - $1,400,000 Electrical Construction : $400,000 - $450,000 Contract No. 21-1 - General Construction Contract No. 21-2 - Electrical Construction The Project consists of but is not limited to replacement of three (3) shaft driven dry pit submersible pumps and ancillary equipment with three (3) self-priming centrifugal pumps and ancillary equipment, replacement of pump discharge piping and valving, select structural concrete and sluice gate repair, and installation of a new self-priming suction lift chopper pump with suction and discharge recirculation piping, including all electrical and control improvements. Also included is the rehabilitation of the exterior surface of 16-inch ductile iron municipal wastewater force main piping within four existing valve chambers, the installation of 3-inch vent piping from three of the chambers, manhole rehabilitation and related site restoration. A pre-bid conference will not be held. Bidders should refer to provisions of federal and state statutes, rules and regulations dealing with the prevention of environmental pollution and preservation of public natural resources that affect the project, pursuant to Act No. 247 of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, approved October 26, 1972. This Project falls under The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania enacted Act 127 of 2012, known as the Public Works Employment Verification Act ('the Act') which requires all public work contractors and subcontractors to utilize the Federal Government's E-Verify system to ensure that all employees performing work on public work projects are authorized to work in the United States. All Bidders are required to submit a Public Works Employment Verification Form as a precondition for the Contract Award. The estimated cost for each Contract is greater than Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act shall apply. All bids shall be irrevocable for 60 days after the bid opening date as provided by the Act of November 26, 1978 (P.L. 1309, No. 317), as amended by the Act of December 12, 1994 (P.L. 1042, No. 142).
