Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Springfield Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
This project involves adding an additional span to the existing 3-lane, 2-span Continuous Composite Steel Girder Bridge on Sherman Street (SR 1033) over I-83 and Mill Creek and replacing the county-owned bridge on Eberts Lane (T-854) with a 2-lane, 2-span P/S Concrete PA Bulb Tee Beam bridge. This project also consists of approach work, guide rail updates, pavement marking updates, and other miscellaneous construction, all as indicated on the approved drawings included in the Bid Package for STATE ROUTE 1033, SECTION 008, in YORK COUNTY, CITY OF YORK and SPRINGETTSBURY & SPRING GARDEN TOWNSHIPS, from Segment 0020 Offset 1605 to Segment 0020 Offset 2401, for an overall project length of 596.00 linear feet (0.113 mile).
