Site work and new construction of a pre-engineered storage facility in Port St Joe, Florida. Completed plans call for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.

The project consists of the construction of a pre-manufactured/pre-engineered enclosed metal building housing 7 bays divided with steel support columns, no interior walls, measuring 160 feet long by 60 feet deep and 14'-9" eave height with a gable roof at a normal pitch of 1 inches on 12 inches. It shall be set on a 6" thick concrete slab with #4 bars spaced at 12" O.C., each direction, over treated compacted fill and 6 mil. vapor barrier to hold the weight of heavy vehicles/equipment with small ramp for ease in driving wheeled vehicles under cover. Concrete slab along 160' length direction shall include minimum 6'-6" wide x 16" tall 4500psi continuous concrete perimeter footing with (8) #5 bars continuous and #5 transverse bars at 10" O.C. Concrete slab along 60' length direction shall include minimum 4'-0" wide x 16" tall 4500psi continuous concrete perimeter footing with (5) #5 bars continuous and #5 transverse bars at 10 O.C. The garage doors shall be wind rated roll up doors. The metal building will consist of gable roof, closed in sides and ends of 26 gauge screw down Galvalume PBR panel. Steel support columns shall be used to divide the bays as well as supporting the entire roof structure. Metal walls shall consist of 26 gauge screw down Galvalume PBR panel with steel girts to support wall panels for wall framing. Trusses and roof shall be of sufficient height to drive under with large city equipment. The metal building components and cladding shall be wind rated for 140 MPH. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to properly dispose of any and all construction debris and to be sure any screws, nails, and other items capable of puncturing tires or causing other injury to persons or damage to property are properly collected and disposed of with any other construction debris at his own expense. It is the sole responsibility of the contractor to pull all applicable building/development permits. The City will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of all required fill material to the job site. It is the sole responsibility of the contractor to provide quality control testing for all structural fill required and provide the results of these tests to the Engineer of Record for acceptance prior to proceeding with construction. All foundation bearing soil shall be compacted to 98% standard proctor or 95% modified proctor as specified by AASHTO T-99 and AASHTO T-180, respectively. All persons or firms submitting SEALED BID shall have the appropriate active licensing for Gulf County, Florida, the City of Port St. Joe, Florida, and the State of Florida and will obtain all appropriate permits as required by all entities. The Florida Building Code will be the governing regulation for construction including wind loads. Other requirements of FEMA or other federal and state funding will be included in the contract for services when awarded. SEALED BID will be received for a single prime contract and shall be on a lump sum basis. The City of Port St. Joe reserves the right to accept or reject any and all statements of Bids in whole or in part, to waive informalities in the process, to obtain new Statements of Bids, or to postpone the opening pursuant to the City's purchasing policies. Each Statement of Bid shall be valid to the City of Port St. Joe for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening.
