Renovation of a mixed-use development in Berkeley, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
**As of February 23, 2022 this project has been awarded to Video and Sound Service, Inc. with award amount $569,624.67** Bids shall be submitted in opaque sealed envelopes clearly marked: District Wide Security Improvements Berkeley School District 87 Administration Office 1200 North Wolf Road, Berkeley, Illinois 60163 Attn: Mrs. Laura Vince, Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations/CSBO No bids in oral, electronic, telephonic, or any other form will be considered. Bids containing modifications will not be considered. Late bids will not be considered. The Bid Documents will be available on or about December 15, 2021. There is no cost to download the drawings, however, prospective bidders must provide all requested information when completing the download process in order that they will receive proper updates. Prospective bidders may choose to purchase hard copies of the Bidding Documents from American Reprographics Company at their own expense. All bids must be made using the Bid Form supplied in the Project Manual. Bidders shall enter the necessary information in all blanks on the Bid Form and shall include all additional bid submittals required by the Bidding Documents. Bidders shall make use of complete documents to prepare bids. Complete bids are required. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cash or acceptable bidder's bond payable to Board of Education, Berkeley School District #87, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted a contract will be entered into and the performance of the contract properly secured. The successful bidder will be required to provide satisfactory insurance and guarantee of indemnity in form and amounts required by the Bidding Documents, and performance, labor and material payment bonds equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, in forms and amounts required by the Bidding Documents with sureties to be approved by the Owner. The successful bidder is required to pay the general prevailing wage for work as ascertained by the Illinois Department of Labor, and shall submit certified payroll records, in compliance with the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130) and shall comply with all applicable Illinois statutory requirements regarding labor, including Equal Employment Opportunity laws. Bids may not be withdrawn within thirty (30) days after the scheduled time of opening bids, without the consent of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid or to reject any or all bids, or parts of such bids, and waive informalities or irregularities in bidding. Schedule an appointment with the District Facilities Department (708-449-3355) in advance. Days and times may be limited to avoid disruption of school operations.
