Purpose of Procurement This electronic Request for Proposals is being issued to establish a contract with a qualified supplier who will provide Solid Waste & Recycling Management Services to our campus locations in Statesboro, Savannah (Armstrong Campus), and Hinesville (Liberty Campus), for The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia by and on Behalf of Georgia Southern University as further described in this eRFP. It is governed by USG Public Works Rules. Services under this contract include, but are not limited to, furnishing and servicing designated solid waste disposal containers of various sizes and locations on two of the Georgia Southern (GS) campuses located in Statesboro and Savannah, Recycling will be performed at all three campuses.The approximate annual solid waste tonnage for Georgia Southern University Statesboro Campus is estimated to be 4,100 tons; and 450 tons for the Savannah campus. The Statesboro campus is unique in that it can have as many as 24,000 people on campus and as few as 2,500 people on campus generating trash.The Contractor should have or be willing to have a local service team that can respond to campus needs within 24 hours.The contractor must be able to handle GS campuses solid waste complete volume in house, sub-contracting or splitting of the service at a campus will not be acceptable, though multiple suppliers can be awarded per campus or per waste stream this contract will require the entire campus to be serviced by only one contractor per campus per waste stream.
