Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Belleview, Florida. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

This project is included in the County of Marion's fiscal years 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of January 12, 2024, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. A firm timeline for construction has not been established; however, funding is allotted to fiscal year 2025. A detailed scope has not yet been released. This project will consist of various improvements at Belleview Sportsplex. Phase I of the improvement plan will included the following: refurbish the basketball courts, parking/vehicular circulation improvements, ball field complex improvements, tennis courts and landscape improvements. During this phase of the project the current baseball fields will be moved to the north end of the park. Additionally, a new playground will be installed at the site. There are also plans to remove the current league office trailer and construct a new restroom/concession area that will have the ability to host an office in the area upstairs for the league to use. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
