Renovation of a municipal facility in Marksville, Louisiana. Working plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
This solicitation is for Electrical and Plumbing Repairs for the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, located at Spring Bayou Wildlife Management Area, 2628 Spring Bayou Road, Marksville, LA 71351. The job is to be performed in accordance with the enclosed scope of work and specifications. For any bid submitted in the amount of $50,000 or more, a bid security (insurance company, bank money order, certified check, or cashier's check made payable to "State of Louisiana - Department of Wildlife and Fisheries") must be included with the bidder's submission in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount bid (including base bid and additive alternates, if any) and shall become the property of the agency in the event the contract and bond are not executed within the time set forth in the bid solicitation. Failure to do so will remove the bid from consideration. Please refer to Attachment A: Special Terms and Conditions page four (4) for complete details of this requirement. To provide and install a new twenty-five (25) foot class 5 treated pole at Boggy Bayou Campground within Spring Bayou Wildlife Management Area, as designated by and agreed upon by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) via mandatory pre-bid meeting. Meeting to be scheduled by appointment for individual bidders. Requirements: o Provide and install a 600 amp 120/240 volt electrical service (commercial bolt on panelboard with a 600 amp main breaker). o Construct an aluminum unistrut rack attached to the twenty-five (25) foot pole (rack to have four (4) vertical and four (4) horizontal unistrut supports). o Install the new electrical panel and meter (Consult with Entergy to ensure proper installation) onto the new rack. o Excavate trench from the new service (minimum two (2) feet deep) to three (3) of the RV spots, as designated by LDWF via mandatory pre-bid meeting. Install one (1), one fourth (1/4) inch Schedule Forty (40) Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) with three (3) #1 Thermoplastic high-heat-resistant, nylon coated (THHN) copper conductors and one (1) #8 THHN copper conductor ground to serve these three (3) RV spots. The circuit will loop from spot number one (1) to spot number (2) and end at spot number (3). Provide a 125 amp bolt on breaker to serve the circuit for every three (3) spots. This would be six (6) separate 125 amp circuits and breakers. The two (2) spots closest to the main electrical service can be looped with three (3) #3 THHN copper conductors and one (1) #8 THHN copper conductor ground in one (1) inch Schedule Forty (40) PVC conduit controlled by a 100 amp bolt on breaker. All excavations to be refilled by contactor, only following inspection by LDWF, of completed work. o At each of the twenty (20) RV spots provide and install a four (4) inch by four (4) inch by four (4) foot composite post mounted to a concrete base. (Refer to CaliTrue Organics Yosemite Composite Deck Post Model #7516000400 carried by Lowes, or equivalent). The concrete base needs to be poured three (3) feet deep in a twelve (12) inch sonotube. Allow a minimum of six (6) inches of concrete to be above grade. Install a RV electrical panel with a 50 amp, 30 amp, and 20-amp GFCI receptacle included in each panel at all twenty (20) spots mounted to the new composite posts. o Install Cross-Linked Polyethylene (PEX) water lines from main water meter, to twenty (20) pedestals. Install two (2) cutoff valves within the campground. Water lines connected and secured on opposite side of pedestal from RV electrical panel, with faucets.
