Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the demolition of a 68,000-square-foot educational facility; for the construction of a 70,000-square-foot educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; and library.
As of June 3, 2024, construction on this project has begun. Design a new 70,000 Sq Ft building to encompass a campus library, study areas, food service, and student meeting rooms. The design should include a traditional library component but also incorporate modern digital infrastructure and computer lab space. The Commons building should reflect a space that brings students together with modern tools, resources for learning, collaboration, and inclusivity at its forefront. Additionally, there will be a component of this project that requires site development to create an appropriate area for this structure. This development will include the demolition of six original buildings (approximately 68,000 sq ft) in the center of main campus. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
