Renovation of a municipal facility in Martinez, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

As of February 16, 2022, the project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award not yet been established. The project includes the generator replacement located at the Contra Costa County Sheriff's office in Martinez, California. The replacement consists of replacing the existing two outdoor generators and associated two ATS that support 1960 and 1980 Muir Road county buildings with in-kind units. The existing generator chain link fence enclosure will be replaced and concrete pad extended. To avoid any disruption to both facilities, two portable generators will also be included in this scope. The existing ADA access in the work area will be maintained during and after construction. The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors encourages opportunities to develop and support Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs), Women Business Enterprises (WBEs), Small Business Enterprises (SBEs), Local Business Enterprises (LBEs), and Disabled Veterans Business Enterprises (DVBEs) by providing opportunities for participation in the performance of construction contracts financed in whole or in part with County funds. MBE, WBE, SBE, LBE, and DVBE definitions and detailed information are included in Division E of the Specifications. The estimated construction contract cost (Base bid) is $415,000. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price and a Faithful Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price. r bid bond in the amount of the ten percent (10%) of the base bid amount. On projects of $1,000,000 or more it shall be the goal of each contractor and subcontractor to ensure that the overall minority composition of all persons employed specifically for the purpose of completing this contract shall reflect the overall minority composition of the labor force of Contra Costa County (25.7%) and 6.9% of the labor force for women employed specifically for the purpose of completing this contract. This requirement does not apply to current employees used on this contract.
