The Owner is Village of Odessa, and the work site is located in the Village of Odessa. The projects limits extend from 150 feet west to 150 feet east of the bridge over Deckertown Creek. The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: removal of the existing superstructure and substructure, placement of a new 70-foot long by 31-foot 4-inch wide steel girder structure on the existing horizontal and improved vertical roadway alignment, new cast-in-place conventional abutments on spread footings founded on rock, new stone fill bank protection, approach work, and guiderail installation. The proposed work will be performed while traffic is maintained via an offsite detour. This is a BridgeNY Project and NYSDOT Standard Specifications, officially finalized and adopted on September 1, 2025 as posted on the New York State Department of Transportation's website must be followed by the successful bidder. This is a unit price bid as described in the Instructions to Bidders. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within forty-five (45) calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The work will be substantially completed within 150 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed or November 25, 2026, whichever comes first. Substantial completion shall mean the project is opened to traffic. Any punch list work shall be completed and final quantities shall be ready for final payment by December 31, 2026. The Village of Odessa reserves the right to consider the bids for forty-five (45) days after receipt before awarding any Contract, and to waive any minor informalities in, and to reject, any and all bids. All bids are subject to final review and approval by the Village Board before any award of contract may be made.
