For furnishing to said City all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and services for the installation of a Title-24 compliant silicone coating and sealant system and replacement of existing skylights on the roof of City Hall in Porterville A Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bidder's Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid made payable to the City of Porterville will be required to accompany each proposal The successful bidder will be required to furnish the City of Porterville with a Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract and a Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount Any contract entered into pursuant to this notice will incorporate the provisions of the State Labor Code. Compliance with the prevailing rates of wages and apprenticeship employment standards established by the State Director of Industrial Relations will be required. The contractor shall pay the city liquidated damages in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500) a day for each calendar day the project is delayed beyond the "Time of completion Date. The City will withhold five percent (5%) retention from payments due the Contractor until thirty- five (35) days after date of recordation of the Notice of Completion. The Contractor may elect to 3 receive one hundred percent (100%) of payments due under the contract by depositing securities of equivalent value with the City in accordance with the provisions of the California Public Contract Code Section 22300. Such securities, if deposited by the Contractor, shall be valued by the City, whose decision on valuation of the securities shall be final. Securities eligible for investment under this provision shall be limited to those listed in Section 22300 and Section 16430 of the California Government code PN - 21/22-P1921
