In accordance with Jersey County's Competitive Bidding and Purchasing Policy, notice is hereby given that the Jersey County Clerk's Office is accepting bids for a construction contract to furnish all labor, materials and related costs for remodeling of a portion of the Jersey County Government Building to be used for a voting and election security center. Demo and dispose of approximately 60 ft of existing interior wall, per drawing Build estimated 20 ft of new interior wall and install secure door as specified Remove and cover existing doorway which is no longer used Replace two existing interior doors with secure doors as specified Replace closer and lockset on one additional interior door Repair drop ceiling and flooring as necessary where demo work has been done Install additional electrical outlets, switches, and lighting per specifications Install counter-top in election work area, and L-shaped counter including wiring in voting area, as specified Move island, replace flooring, repair plaster walls and drop ceiling in kitchen, and replace ceiling fan Repaint walls in entire project area as needed All work will be scheduled during normal working hours for the County unless it will cause disruption to county services. In such cases, work will be scheduled to create minimal impact to county services. The Vendor shall perform all work so that all warranties are maintained and observed. Vendor shall provide a copy of any new warranties to the County Board Office. The Vendor shall provide copies of material suppliers invoices with billing. Purchase of materials is exempt from Illinois Sales Tax. (Tax Exempt #E9996-2081-07) All parts and materials must be of current day (latest model). Surplus, remanufactured and used products are prohibited unless otherwise specifically stated in the call for bids. All work performed will be in accordance with current trade practices and shall be completed in compliance with applicable state and county codes, and manufacturers specifications. By submitting an invoice, the vendor certifies that the supplies and services were provided and that they meet all requirements of the contract.
