The work consists of the installation of 3,000 L.F. of 6"-12" ductile iron waterline, and all required appurtenances. The project is located in Brookville Borough, Jefferson County, PA. The project engineer and contact for technical questions is Steve Gibson. The estimate is $1,400,000. A certified check or bid bond payable to or naming as obligee Brookville Municipal Authority in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount must be deposited with the proposal. Bidders must submit with their bids the Non-Collusion Affidavit contained in the contract documents. The Successful Bidder will be required to execute the Agreement and to furnish and pay for performance and payment bonds, each of said bonds to be in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, all in the respective forms provided in the Bidding Documents. The Contractor also will be required to furnish evidence of insurance coverage as required by the Bidding Documents. The project will be financed by the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority and supported in part by Federal funding. Notice is given that not less than the minimum wage rates set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid to employees on this project. The Successful Bidder will be required to comply with Prevailing Minimum Wages in accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor under the Davis-Bacon Wage Rate Act. No bids may be withdrawn, except when the bidder meets the requirements of Act No. 4 of the General Assembly of Pennsylvania Senate Bill 793, Printers No. 1655. The Brookville Municipal Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality and to award the contract as may be deemed by the Authority to be in their best interest. Bids shall remain open for a period of 60 days from the date of Bid opening unless award is delayed by a required approval from a governmental agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which event the Bids shall remain open for a period of 1 20 days from the date of Bid opening.
