Pre-Qualification for Bidders: Not Required License Type Required: C-10 The work to be done consists of furnishing all labor, materials, methods and processes, implements, tools, equipment, incidentals and machinery except as otherwise specified, which are necessary and required to complete the contract in a satisfactory and workmanlike manner. The intent of the plans and specifications is to prescribe the details for the construction and completion of the work which the Contractor undertakes to perform in accordance with the terms of the contract. Where the plans or specifications describe portions of the work in general terms, but not in complete detail, it is understood that only the best general practice is to prevail and that only materials and workmanship of the best quality are to be used. This job order contract will be used to provide the PMSA (Presidio Municipal Services Agency) with a readily available work force for electrical construction and repairs including, but not limited to low, medium and high voltage work, switchgear and power distribution systems, solar or power generation systems including emergency generators, utility work, lineman work, communication systems, alarm systems, security systems, building wiring, area and street lighting, motors, battery backup systems, system condition assessment, inspection, and reporting, and providing construction estimates. This may include emergency work. The work shall be located at, but is not limited to, the Presidio of Monterey, Ord Military Community, Camp Roberts, or any other site as requested by the City of Monterey. A bid bond is not required for this project. The contract agreement will be for a term of one (1) year with a not-to-exceed annual funding limit of one hundred forty-nine thousand dollars ($149,000.00). The agreement will include an option for two additional one (1) year extensions also with a not-to-exceed annual funding limit of $149,000.00 The total term of this agreement will not exceed three (3) years. The amount of work to be requested during the twelve-month contract period cannot be well defined at the outset. Work shall be issued through Job Orders. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids as the best interests of the City may dictate and, to the extent permitted by law, waive any irregularity in any bid. If there is any reason for believing that collusion exists among the bidders, the City may reject any or all bids.
