Fraser Health Authority ("FHA"), Interior Health Authority ("IHA"), Northern Health Authority ("NHA"), Provincial Health Services Authority ("PHSA"), Vancouver Coastal Health Authority ("VCH") and Vancouver Island Health Authority ("VIHA") (the "Health Authority(s)"), through their collective agent Provincial Health Services Authority ("PHSA"), intend to directly award a Contract to the following supplier to provide IV Pumps for MRI Environment for the Health Authorities for a term of three (3) years, at an estimated value of CAD $642,148.00 (including taxes). Canadian Hospital Specialties is the only distributor in Canada for the mRidium 3860 pump manufactured by Iradimed Corporation situated in Florida, USA, being operable and safe in up to 1 Tesla (10,000 Gauss) magnetic field for use within an MRI environment. A requirement for these pumps comes from a provincial mandate for the discontinuation of use of long extension tubes running from patients to pumps outside of MRI suites for the safety of patients. It is intended to award a non-volume committed contract for the products and services to provide time to evaluate contract options including preparing for and completing a public procurement process and further implementation of a future agreement to support all Health Authorities. PHSA will review any and all issues received by this date and provide due consideration to each objection.
