Renovation of an educational facility in Buffalo, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The work of this single bid project includes but is not limited to, the replacement of elevator equipment for hydraulic and traction elevators at SUNY at Buffalo's North Campus including hoisting equipment, control systems, cabs, fixtures, and emergency signaling and operational devices. Selective demolition including asbestos abatement. Penetration firestopping and fire-resistive joint systems to create and/or maintain hoist way and machine room fire ratings as defined on the drawings. Painting floors, walls, and ceilings of elevator pits & machine rooms. New sump pits, sump pumps, alarms, and discharge piping in elevator pits. Electrical power, disconnects, and lighting. Building Management Systems (BMS) integration with the elevators. Upgrades to the existing fire protection systems including fire alarm and sprinkler systems. The conditions of the existing hydraulic cylinder casings for the two hydraulic elevators as part of this project scope of work are unknown. Removal of existing cylinder casing and installation of replacement cylinder casing may be necessary. Bid Form shall request unit price from Contractor to include all mobilization, labor, materials, and associated costs (drilling, dewatering, legal removal of spoils, oil disposal, etc.) associated with complete cylinder casing installation. Full-Service maintenance of elevators during, and for a specified period after rehabilitation. All bidders must present evidence of skill, experience and financial qualifications per Information to Bidders, Section 7 of the project specs. Subcontracting is permitted (Section 2.18 of SUCF Agreement). Principal subcontractors must be named within 48 hrs after bid opening per Information for Bidders Section 8. Bidders must submit within 48 hrs either certification of its NYS VendRep questionnaire (preferred) or a signed and notarized paper CCA2 form (Version 9/13 only), Attachments A, B, and C, Appendix A form, work descriptions, and preliminary project schedule.
