Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Early, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Sequence of Constrution: The sequence of construction for the Ballpark improvements is as follows: Set signage Contact Texas811 to mark utility locations. Additionally, contact City of Early to locate irrigation features ahead of construction Install SWPPP devices according to plan Perform work according to plan including construction of sidewalks, drainage features, and associated parking upgrades Clean project site including finished pavement surface and remove SWPPP devices Concrete Sidewalks : Construct 4" or 6" thick concrete sidewalk according to Item 531 as called out in the plans. Sidewalk payment will be measured in place by square yard of surface area. Expansion joints should be placed at section lengths greater than 8 ft. but less than 20 ft. For large concrete surface areas on site layout sheets, contractor shall submit a joint layout plan for approval by the engineer. The maximum area allowable without a joint is 144 SF (12'x12'). All light fixtures, trees and utility fixtures are to remain in place with a minimum of 2' buffer around each feature to be filled with crushed rock. Movable benches shall be moved and re-set as needed to construct concrete pathways and pads. This work is subsidiary to installation of concrete work. Retaining Wall: Prior to placement of any retaining wall or concrete surface around edge of field contractor shall coordinate with the City of Early to allow for pole placement and backstop fixtures. Surface finish of retaining wall shall be rock type matched to Tee-ball field located within the ball park facility. Contractor to provide a concrete wall with brick ledge. Stone work to be completed by the City of Early. Retaining wall components feature both freestanding sections and backfilled sections according to grade around fill. Backfilled sections shall follow details provided for retaining wall to proposed ground tie-in points. Grading behind wall shall be flush with cap as to not impound water without drainage away from wall. Fixed stairs shall be constructed according to OSHA 1917.120. In areas around dugout contractor shall coordinate with City of Early for details regarding dugout construction. Above wall features, fencing, dugout furniture and misc. items are to be constructed by the City of Early as finish out of the dugout. Temporary Erosion, Sedimentation, and Environmental Controls: Installation of BM P's is mandatory prior to beginning construction. Materials shall not be stockpiled onsite without the approval of the City of Early. Sodding for this project shall be completed by the City of Early. Contractor shall prepare area for sodding with 2" topsoil free of debris suitable for sodding materials. Project Schedules: The anticipated project schedule for this project is approximately 60 working days from start to finish. Submit project schedule to the City of Early for review and approval. Demolition of field features will be performed by the City of Early. This includes dugouts to be reconstructed and backstops in place on certain fields. Care should be taken to preserve features to remain including field improvements and ongoing ballpark projects being constructed by the City of Early. Plan north limits of construction will tie into existing sidewalk/batting cage. Plan west limits of construction will end the sidewalk just past the entrance to the field past the dugout. City of Early will remove all bleachers and large rocks currently shown on plans. Contractor will be responsible for grading of subgrade to meet ADA and parking curb specs (6" curb the length of the parking area). See detail for stem wall from dugout to dugout at fields edge o If able, provide a bid alternate for labor to install rock to match existing fields. Rock for stem wall provided by the City of Early. Electrical by City of EarlyO o Grades shall match existing parking lot and adhere to ADA requirements moving deeper into the project. City of Early will haul off excess dirt from grading or provide fill if needed. Contractor shall provide and install all pavement marking, wheel stops and signage depicted on the plans. City of Early will backfill topsoil around sidewalk, contractor will be responsible for removing all forms and large debris created by the construction process. City of Early will be responsible for placement of grass sod and any irrigation deemed necessary. No trees shall be removed by the contractor.
