The St. Lucie County Administration Building Parking Lot Improvements project is located at 2300 Virginia Avenue within the City of Fort Pierce, FL and is associated with Parcel ID No. 2416-504-0770-000-8. The portion of the site to be improved is located to the north of the existing administration building, and previously contained a civic center building that was demolished in 2007. After the building was demolished, the area has been utilized as a dirt/gravel parking area for County employees. The goal of this project is to make improvements to the parking lot. These improvements include but are not limited to: milling and resurfacing asphalt pavement, new asphalt pavement, parking lot signage, pavement striping, concrete curb, concrete sidewalks, drainage structures, drainage pipes, excavating a new dry retention pond, installing parking lot lighting, new landscaping, and new irrigation All Bidders are required to submit a five percent (5%) Bid Bond with the Bid Form or their bid shall be rejected as non-responsive. A one hundred percent (100%) Public Construction Bond is required upon notification of St. Lucie County's intention to award the contract to the apparent successful bidder. Bidders may not withdraw their Bid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the bid opening date. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor irregularities; reject any and all bids/proposals which are incomplete, conditional, obscure, or which contain additions not allowed for; accept or reject any proposal in whole or in part with or without cause; and accept the proposal which best serves the County.
