This project consists of well development and testing at Well 34 located at 500 North Montana Street, under the supervision of a licensed hydrologist supplied by the Contractor. A surge block or some other acceptable method will be employed to reduce fine grain production to an acceptable level. A step drawdown test will be conducted, followed by a constant rate pump test, followed by a recovery test. The Contractor will be responsible for infiltrating the discharge water. Water samples will be taken and sent to a lab for water quality analysis. The licensed hydrologist will stamp the final report and provide it to the City All bids shall be accompanied by a deposit in the form of a postal money order, cashier's check, or bond in an amount equal to 5 percent of the maximum total amount of the bid. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into a contract or furnish a satisfactory contract bond within the time stated in the specifications, the deposit shall be forfeited to the City. All bidders shall be on the MRSC Small Works Roster prior to bid opening. All bidders shall call 509-764-3786 prior to bid opening to sign up as a bidder on the project, whether or not they request a hard copy or obtain a digital copy of the Specifications. Bids received from bidders who are not on the MRSC Small Works Roster, and bids from bidders who are not signed in as a bidder on the project will be rejected for being non-responsive.
