Renovation of an educational facility in Mount Prospect, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Project consists of replacement of existing aluminum curtain wall system, translucent fiberglass panel windows, FRP doors, miscellaneous carpentry, removal and reinstallation of casework, epoxy resin countertops, gypsum assemblies, acoustical panel ceiling, resilient tile flooring, carpeting, interior paint, exterior concrete repair and coatings. MEP work consists of replacement of unit ventilators, lighting replacement, toilet room renovation including plumbing fixtures, and miscellaneous associated electrical work. Notice to Bidders: Qualified bidders may submit bids for project as described in this Document. Submit bids according to the Instructions to Bidders. 1. Regulatory Requirements: Applicable laws and regulation of those having jurisdiction in the State of Illinois shall govern submittal opening and award of bids. 2. All Contracts for the Construction of Public Works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (105 ILCS 230/). Owner will consider bids prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders issued by Owner, and delivered.Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud. Any bid submitted unsealed, or unsigned, without bid bond or received subsequent to the aforementioned date and hour will be disqualified and returned to the bidder Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities 1. Project Locations: a. Prospect High School, 801 W. Kensington Road, Mt. Prospect, Illinois 60056. b. Rolling Meadows High School, 2901 Central Road, Rolling Meadows, Illinois 60008. Bid Security is required in the form of a Bid Bond, AIA Document A310 in an amount equal to not less than ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid and all Additive Alternates. It is the Owner's intent to issue a Notice of Award to the successful Bidder within thirty (30) calendar days of the Bid Date. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the opening of bids. Bidders' Questions: Architect will provide responses to bidder's questions no later than 4 days prior to bid opening. Bidding questions shall be submitted to Architect's Representative via email. Any questions received later than 4 days prior to bid opening shall not be answer Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice of Award and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Work is subject to liquidated damages. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract sum, on AIA Document A312 as issued by the American Institute of Architects.
