Springfield High School of Science & Technology Window and Door Replacement and Associated Work The City of Springfield is seeking bids for the removal and replacement of exterior windows and select doors as well as the associated masonry and flashing work at the Springfield High School of Science & Technology located at 1250 State St., Springfield, MA to include abatement of sealants associated with window replacement. Sub-bidders must be certified by the State Division of Capital Asset Management in the following categories: Masonry and Metal Windows. A Prime/General Contractor and Filed Sub-Bid contracts are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 149 as amended and other applicable statutes. Chapter 149 requires that the Prime/General Contractor be certified by the State Division of Capital Asset Management in the category "General Contractor." The City of Springfield is seeking bids for the removal and replacement of exterior windows and select doors as well as the associated masonry and flashing work at the Springfield High School of Science & Technology located at 1250 State St., Springfield, MA to include abatement of sealants associated with window replacement. Estimated cost of the project is $5,048,416.00. Sub-bidders must be certified by the State Division of Capital Asset Management in the following categories: Masonry and Metal Windows. Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available for download at portal (may be viewed and hard copy requested) All questions regarding the bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement (Hbutton@springfieldcity hall.com) by January 5, 2022 at 4:30 p.m. All bidders are advised that the minimum wage rate schedule, issued by the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Standards are included in the specifications and shall prevail in the work on this project. All bidders are advised the City has a 20% goal for MWBE participation and the project is subject to the City of Springfield Responsible Employer Ordinance (REO). The Deputy Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to reject any or all responses, if in the public interest to do so.
