The Department of Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) requires a portable heater for high arctic weather operations in Eureka, Nunavut. The portable heater will be used during winter to provide external heat to the aircraft from the ground level by keeping the aircraft warm during the parked time on the runway. The portable heater will also be used to supply heat in the garage and warehouse in Eureka and as a standby heating unit in an emergency. The portable heater will be delivered to Burlington, Ontario, and ECCC will ship it to Eureka, Nunavut through sealift. This requirement is limited to Inuit Firms on the Inuit Firm Registry (IFR).
