Environment and Climate Change Canada has an obligation to remove and dispose of hazardous waste generated by the process of retrograding part of the old buildings at the Eureka weather station in Nunavut. The accumulated scrap building materials including asbestos-contaminated insulation are arriving via sea lift to the port of Sainte Catherine, Quebec at the start of October. ECCC requires a service that will ensure full compliance with federal, provincial and municipal environmental regulations for the removal and disposal of the materials from the port of Sainte Catherine, Quebec. The estimated contract period will be 3 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2025/10/13.
