Renovation of a municipal facility in Riverside, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Contractor agrees to provide all labor, tools, materials, parts, equipment, travel and incidentals required to repair roll-up doors at the nine (9) Caltrans-owned properties. A. Services under this Agreement shall be requested, by Caltrans Contract Manager, through the issuance of an email, for specific work at any one (1) of the facilities mentioned in Section 2. Each service incorporates by reference all provisions, terms and conditions of this Agreement. Services shall be site specific, work-quantified and time-constrained. Caltrans Contract Manager will be responsible for the issuance and execution of the services. B. Caltrans Contract Manager will submit an email containing a proposed work plan for Contractor to complete. Contractor shall provide a proposal of the task to Caltrans Contract Manager prior to an email being issued. Contractor shall complete the proposed work plan and shall include the estimated number of workers, labor costs, equipment, parts and material costs required to complete the proposed maintenance, repair work. Contractor shall submit to Caltrans Contract Manager the proposed work plan for each requested service for review and approval. No work shall start prior to Caltrans Contract Manager's approval of the work plan. C. Contractor shall respond via email or telephone to Caltrans Contract Manager's request for service, maintenance, or repair within eight (8) hours. Contractor shall start work no more than eight (8) hours after receipt of an approved work plan unless a later time is approved in writing on the work plan by Caltrans Contract Manager. D. Maintenance of the doors shall include, but is not limited to repairs, or adjustment at all locations listed in Section 2. E. Repairs shall include but is not limited to applying lube to and adjusting the doors when necessary. Contractor shall repair damaged panels, springs, and motors if needed. F. Contractor shall verify all measurements prior to the start of work. G. Contractor shall attempt to repair the door(s). H. Contractor shall notify Caltrans Contract Manager immediately if the door(s) no longer properly function as indicated by manufacturer(s) and require replacement. I. Contractor shall notify Caltrans Contract Manager immediately with information regarding delays in procurement of components, assemblies, or replacement parts. One (1) week is considered a delay. J. It is understood and agreed that any work assigned is to be performed in accordance with all the terms of this Agreement. K. Contractor shall be responsible for all liability imposed by law or Agreement for any damage to any person or property resulting from any causes whatsoever during the performance of this Agreement's services. Any damage caused by Contractor shall be repaired by Contractor at Contractor's sole expense. L. Failure to use proper tools and equipment for the specified work shall constitute default and may result in termination of the Agreement per Exhibit D, Section 2, Termination. Caltrans shall not be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur to Contractor's operator, truck, equipment tools or materials. Caltrans' inspection of Contractor's trucks, tools and/or equipment does not certify or warrant the condition of those trucks, tools and/or equipment for future use.
