SUNY Morrisville invites qualified contractors to submit bids for a term contract for work to be completed on a time and material basis. The intent of this bid is that a contract will be signed with selected contractors for a specified period of time, to engage and complete specific construction trade related projects each with a value not-to-exceed $100,000. The total contract enumeration will not exceed $249,000. Each separate project will be issued based on estimated time and material and is called a "RELEASE". The agreement will be issued for a period of two years with a one year renewal option. The Campus reserves the right to award a contract to two bidders for each trade. Contractors are encouraged to bid on more than one trade if they are qualified to perform in those trades. Separate term contracts will be executed for the following trades: 1. General Contractor - Multiple general building trades and sub-contractor oversight 2. Carpentry - Journeymen carpentry services 3. Roofing- Commercial roof repairs and small roof replacement 4. Site Work- Excavation, exterior hardscapes (concrete, asphalt, pavers) and landscaping 5. Electrical / Fire Alarm /Communications/Security and access control 6. Environmental Abatement (asbestos and mold) 7. HVAC / Building automation 8. Plumbing The bidder is responsible for ensuring that the bid packages arrive prior to the date and time listed above for the bid opening. Due to mail delays we highly recommend hand delivering your bid. LATE BID PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED CHECKS should be made payable to Plan and Print Systems, Inc. Section 143 of the State Finance Law requires payment and/or a deposit to receive these documents. Accordingly, a deposit check of either $49.00 or $30.00, made payable to Plan and Print Systems, Inc., is required. Deposits less than $50.00 are nonrefundable. Bids must be submitted in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority and women-owned business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are REQUIRED to cooperate in implementing this policy. Contractor shall exert good faith efforts to achieve a participation goal of twenty percent (20%) for Certified Minority-Owned Business Enterprises, ten percent (10%) for Certified Women-Owned Business Enterprises and six percent (6%) for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses. The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
